Boyfriend did the lines for my fantastic thigh piece, Lisa Simpson and Nelson Muntz in a locket surrounded by stars and sparkles. We would have continued onto shading, but I had to run straight to a job interview.

I’m pretty excited because it combines my nearly lifelong love of Lisa Simpson and lockets, as well as her relationship with Nelson. Boyfriend also once noted that we are very much like Lisa and Nelson, so it’s a cute couplely piece without being a cliche relationship tattoo.

It’s called the Dragon Curve - it’s a fractal, and it’s awesome. Fractal’s are recurring patterns that happen in math, science, nature, etc. They repeat upon themselves and make this beautiful design that you can’t even fathom until you step back and look at it. And I think that’s how I look at life. It’s a series of events, ranging from fantastic to fantastically shitty, but no matter what it looks beautiful every time we take a step back and really think about it.

Also, it’s in the novel version of Jurassic Park. Michael Crichton is the man. Still. I mean, he has two books published posthumously. Boom.
